Juneteenth Celebration of Black Poetry

Come celebrate Juneteenth with us as we kick off our Summer Series highlighting the work of black poets in the greater Boston area. Our celebration will include a variety of performances curated by Boston-based singer, songwriter, and event producer Elae Weekes. Elae has worked with artists and producers from Boston to Los Angeles and internationally, including Tay Winters, DGil, Gregory Weekes, Matt Diamond, and Young G26. His own creative work emphasizes deep emotion and vivid poetry.

This year’s event is free and outdoors at Centanni Park, outside the Multicultural Arts Center at 41 Second St. Cambridge, MA.

V´╗┐enue Information:

Our Summer Series events are held outside in Centanni Park, adjacent to the Multicultural Arts Center at 41 Second Street in Cambridge, MA. Enter Centanni Park at the intersection of 2nd or 3rd Streets and Otis Street. Follow the sound of the music!

In case of rain, this event will take place in our Gallery. Please enter at the ground floor entrance and visit the Box Office on your right as you enter.

Once you check in, you will head upstairs to the Gallery. There is an elevator and staircase for access to the Gallery.

Getting There:

The Multicultural Arts Center is located just a few blocks from the Green line Lechmere MBTA Station.

The East Cambridge Parking Garage is entered off Spring Street, between First & Second Streets, one block away from us, and open 24/7.
